Abigail is a mixed media artist. Most of her paintings are painted using a mixture of watercolor, gouache, pastels, and gesso. She likes to paint in a semi-abstract manner, capturing impressions and emotions with expressive brushstrokes. Abigail often uses unconventional materials to paint with, such as palette knives, Q-tips, sticks, plastic cards, and often her fingers.

Prints and originals of the paintings below are available for purchase; please contact Abigail for more details.

“But little by little,

as you left their voices behind,

the stars began to burn

through the sheets of clouds,

and there was a new voice

which you slowly

recognized as your own,

that kept you company

as you strode deeper and deeper

into the world,

determined to do

the only thing you could do –

determined to save

the only life you could save.”

Design Portfolio

In addition to her fine art, Abigail also has a professional design portfolio. She was Communications Coordinator for Midcoast Music Academy (MCMA) for four years, and was responsible for all graphic design and marketing materials. During her time there, Abigail created the branding identify for MCMA, defining a signature design style for the company.

Below are graphic design projects used by MCMA for marketing purposes to promote various events.

Abigail now works as a freelance designer. For more information, please contact her.

Pictured here is both sides of a trifold brochure, created for MCMA for the 2021 summer camp offerings. This was the first brochure created after a brand redesign, and is demonstrative of the new style Abigail helped define and create. Featuring striking imagery of current MCMA students and paired with the clean boldness of the colors and fonts, it serves to attract attention and tell the story of MCMA to the viewer- that is, a contemporary music school with a focus on a welcoming community that nurtures the personal musician in every student.

Featured here is 2022’s summer offering trifold brochure. Throughout the year, Abigail worked collaboratively with MCMA to define and shape a brand color scheme, featured here in this trifold brochure and corresponding flyer.

The design brief for this project was a little different than the other designs shown here. This was for a fundraising event that needed to direct people around town to various stage areas, while matching in theme to a special line-drawing logo specially designed for this event.
